Fuorisalone 2022, Milano

7th Jun - 12th Jun, 2022

Milan Design Week 2022 took place from 7 to 12 June, during which Cerdisa Ricchetti Group presented its innovative Material Design Tour for the first time with four spaces dedicated to Product Value and Quality.

The world of design meets architecture through furniture. This is where the ceramic materials of the Cerdisa Ricchetti Group come into their own.

In a Milan pulsating with innovative ideas on display at the Milan Design Week, our itinerary unfolded among temporary exhibitions and spaces dedicated to interaction between designers, clients and manufacturers, with stages marking our reflections on the use of surfaces.

There were four stages on our Material Design Tour:

  • Andrea Castrignano’s studio at Via Adige 11 for the Ricchetti brand;
  • the Arclinea flagship store where we displayed the Cerdisa brand;
  • the Roberto Cavalli boutique in via Montenapoleone with “The Wild Spirit”;
  • the cloister of the Church of San Marco in Brera, which hosted dOT with GCR Project.

Andrea Castrignano’s studio: Ricchetti

Ricchetti's natural flair for interior design was emphasised in Andrea Castrignano’s showroom at Via Adige 11 through the use of Ease/22 shades for bathroom furnishings: the durability and practicality of ceramics become a tool for the creation of walls, floors and furnishing surfaces in an ensemble where the mix of colours takes centre stage, in keeping with Castrignano’s mood.

Arclinea Flagship Store: Cerdisa

Cerdisa’s architectural surfaces, both essential and of great technical value, become the flooring system that frames the prestigious Arclinea kitchens in the new shop in Via Durini: the Deep series, with its stone effect, becomes the perfect setting with its clear lines and warm colours.

Roberto Cavalli Boutique: The Wild Spirit

The new concept 'The Wild Spirit' by Roberto Cavalli Home Luxury Tiles exhibited inside the Roberto Cavalli boutique in Via Montenapoleone plays on decoration and follows the brand's concept of pursuing a unique mood between fashion, luxury and sophisticated ambience.

dOT: GCR Project

And finally we come to the church of San Marco in Brera, which provided space for dOT (Design Outdoor Taste) to stage three exhibitions with different content: the exhibition in the large cloister, in which GCR Project engaged with companies from the world of interior design and contract; the cloister portico, which became a tunnel of interior architecture, a pathway between customised furnishings, innovative lighting systems and new-generation materials, paved with Ease/22, a series also used to cover the walls of the entrance area; the part adjacent to the cloister, on the other hand, was dedicated to bathroom furnishings.

The three-dimensional textures of Ease/22 offer a reflection on the appeal of the surface for interior environments. This was the main exhibition space for GCR research and provided two moments of reflection during interviews conducted by Giorgio Tartaro, with the dOT organisation, with two leading players on the Italian contemporary architectural scene: Francesco Buonfantino of Studio Gnosis Progetti in Naples, with a reflection on innovation in the world of ceramics, and Armando Baietto of Studio Baietto Battiato Bianco in Turin, who explains how architectural surfaces can become a characterising element up to urban scale through design and sensitivity to the built environment.

A multifaceted experience, which has allowed the diverse nature of the Company to be showcased: three brands, a division that focuses on uses in Architecture, and relentless research work to carve out a path in the world of ceramic surfaces that highlights focus of the various brands.
